How to crop an image
Drag the highlighted box to move it and pull any corner to resize. Pick an aspect ratio first if the result has to fit a specific slot — 1:1 for profile pictures, 16:9 for video thumbnails and slide backgrounds, 9:16 for stories and reels.
Will cropping reduce the quality?
No. Cropping copies the selected pixels at full resolution, so what you keep is exactly as sharp as the original. The file simply gets smaller because there is less of it.
